Classroom Critters at Rach Montessori
The classrooms at Rocklin Ranch Montessori and Roseville Ranch Montessori were filled with excitement as students welcomed some very special guests—furry, scaly, and shelled friends from Classroom Critters! This hands-on wildlife experience brought learning to life, turning an ordinary school day into an unforgettable adventure.
Students met rabbits, tortoises, chinchillas, and more, engaging in interactive lessons that explored each animal’s habitat, behaviors, and role in the ecosystem. This Montessori-aligned experience encouraged curiosity and hands-on exploration, allowing students to observe, touch, and ask thoughtful questions about their new animal friends.
Beyond the fun, the event reinforced key learning objectives, fostering a deep respect for nature and wildlife. Whether feeling the soft fur of a rabbit, tracing the patterns on a tortoise shell, or discovering where chinchillas live, our students actively participated in their own education.
At Ranch Montessori Schools, we strive to inspire a love for learning, and this experience was no exception. By connecting with nature in such a personal way, our students gained knowledge, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them. We look forward to many more engaging experiences that spark curiosity and discovery!
